FS3 - "Cats 'n' Strats" - EPK 2022

FS3 is a Jazz-Rock trio founded by long-time "Panzerballett" guitarist Joe Doblhofer featuring fellow musicians Gerald Kiesewetter (bass) and Florian Kasper (drums) to fulfil the desire for one musical project to blend all his personal concerns with music into.
The particular focus lies on the fusion of strong compositions with space for improvisation and interaction while always aiming to exhaust the full dynamic potential of the trio setting.
On their 2022 debut release "Cats 'n' Strats" the band is drawing from a broad range of musical influences - ranging from Jazz, Rock, Funk and Blues to contemporary Classical Music - to create their own musical landscape between academic finesse and bold ruggedness.
This dialectic between savageness and sophistication is the common ground for the ten original compositions, outlining the musical environment where harmonic and (poly-)rhythmical complexity meet Rock'n'Roll spirit and a Strat and Marshall amp cover the full dynamic range from jazz ballad to fuzz tone feedback.
Nonetheless it is the band's striving for a dense yet organic common sonic signature that unites all individual extravaganza into one collective soundscape.
